Just back from tonight's Alarm show. Yes, Becky and I cut out a wee bit early. Could be because we saw them last week. Could be because she's seeing them again next week in L.A. (and let's not forget my extra ticket to next week's Boston show). Or it could be because we were tired. Uh, yeah....let's go with that last one shall we?

But aside from being a bit sleepy the universe was conspiring with me tonight! My first pass through Central Square Cambridge secured me a most excellent (FREE) parking space. Becky was already inside and had a frosty Harpoon IPA waiting for me after my "HolyCrapIgotaGreatParkingSpaceHoldOnaMinuteIgottaPeeBeRighBack" entrance. We found ourselves up front tonight instead of way in back so we got a better view of the very cute Mike Peters. The place was quite packed as opposed to last week. A sold out show according to the fellow at the door. And that brings me to tonight's unfortunate revelation. Either The Middle East Upstairs is a stinky ass place or we have the bad luck to always stand right next to stinky ass people. Either one is plausible. Come to think of it ~ it's probably both. The place smelled like an old gym towel. Ick. But I prevailed in the end! Or at the very least, during the set break. I bought two more of the cd's they had for sale and after some prodding by Becky I approached Mr. Peters, shook his hand, gushed some incoherencey (not a real word I know) about it being a great show and asked him to sign one of the two discs I just purchased.

Check it out!

I think that says "To Diana - Love + Life" followed by what passes as his name.
What a sweet fellow. Very nice. Go see his band now!
