Right, yesterday while reading around the blog neighborhood I came across this post at R80o and stumbled upon the Blog Interview. I was intrigued! I read his interview and then I did the unthinkable. I volunteered myself as an interview subject. And this people is why you should not read or post comments late at night! What was I thinking?! Kidding, it was fun. Anyway, here is Mark's take on the BI - The Blog Interview is supposed to help us get to know each other better, and find a few other bloggers that we may not find otherwise.

(and here are the rules posted at his site)
Here are the basics:
1 - Leave a comment below, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

So this means, anybody out there reading who'd like tp participate and answer five new questions leave a comment indicating so.
Without further ado, here are his questions (that kept me awake in bed last night thank you very much) and my answers.

1.) I noticed in your "about me" section that you said, "(46.) I believe in ghosts." Why? Do you have a good ghost encounter/story that you'd like to share?

Sadly no, I have no ghost stories except the nonsense my grandfather used to spout late at night just to scare the crap out of me and my brothers and sister. I guess belief in ghosts is my roundabout way of saying I don't think death is the end. I had a difficult time with religion (I blame the twelve years of Catholic school) and for a while really struggled with mortality and the god question. I'm better now! And no, I'm not a born again Christian.

2.) You have the ability to find out the answer, the absolute truth, about one question/universal riddle/conspiracy. What would that question/riddle/conspiracy be? What would you do with your new found knowledge?

Hmmmm, is there a god? What about ufo's? Who shot JFK? Ah, is String Theory going to be proven? Too many questions! Seriously, those are some that popped into my head. How sad is that. I guess no matter what you tell people, they already have their own answer to the god question. And if we're all made up of infinitely tiny bits of vibrating string what does that say about god? He's a cat isn't he?! Ok fine, I want to know who shot JFK because I am SURE it was a government conspiracy and I want the government to pay! er, I mean change! These days it's nothing more than a giant war machine. I'd love to see it dismantled.

3.) You asked yourself ten years ago "what will my life be like in 10 years?" What was your answer then and how does it compare to your life now?

Ten years ago was just about the lowest point in my entire life. My father had just passed away, I was mired in a dead end relationship and working a meaningless, low paying job. If I'd asked the question then I don't think I'd have had an answer. It would probably have been something like "If it's even remotely better than this I'll be ok with that." Compared to my life now I am miles away ~ I am the happiest I have ever been. Well, the lay off thing is a drag for sure but it's just another path, eh?

4.) Is your creativity "inspired". If so what is your inspiration? If not, why do you create?

When I was a kid I was mostly inspired by horses and dragons seeing as how that's pretty much ALL I ever drew. Nowadays it's not really an inspiration thing and I don't create nearly as much as I should. Why do I create? Good question. I don't know! It just has to be done. It's a compulsion and when I do it's more often than not a multiple birth if you will ~ a series of paintings or drawings.

5.) Ultimate Self-Esteem or Ultimate Self-Actualization? You have the opportunity to choose only one. Which and why?

Self-actualization, absolutely because if you achieve your full potential how can you have anything other than full confidence in yourself!

*Bonus Question*, try if you dare: LifeKu. Write a simple haiku that best describes you.

happiness, this life
open to me. I am the
dreamer awakened.

(translation ~ I am happy!)
