OK, it's done. I called the barn and I have a half hour private riding lesson next Wednesday at 10AM. The instructor I spoke with sounded extremely nice. She's been teaching for twenty plus years and I'll be riding her horse which she has had for sixteen years. He's an older horse but that's ok by me!
Now I need to dig out my helmet and riding boots.
