Well, it's done. We have a new cat in the house. God I hope I didn't make a colossal mistake! Feya (resident kitty) now knows there's something in the spare bedroom and she's hissed at it. I know it's to be expected and I plan on introducing them to each other VERY SLOWLY. I almost came home with two new kitties today but the white trash folks who got to the shelter before I did decided they wanted both seven week kittens. Greedy bastards. Just as well, the one I was there for was a male and looks just like Feya. Jeff wants a female and wants her to look nothing like Feya! You wouldn't think bringing a new cat home would be so stressful ~ I am a bundle of nerves. I hope Feya doesn't turn on me! My fear is with the introduction of a new cat she will change ~ turn evil if you will. Jeff would probably argue she's already evil. Ah well, what can you do? We wanted another cat and will probably end up with three when all is said and done. She'll just have to deal with it.
Here she is. Six month old Snow. She would not stay still so I was unable to get a good picture of her face. She's part Himalayan and has beautiful blue eyes.
Snow is the name her previous owner (a twelve year old girl) gave her. They had to give her up because the girl's five year old brother developed allergies. With all the paperwork I also got a letter from the girl asking very nicely that I write and let her know how Snow is doing. I hope I have good things to tell! She seems very sweet so far. I just hope Feya doesn't smother me in my sleep!
