Four days, five pills later and what a difference. Just a slight cough left but for the most part I am feeling back to normal. I'll never again look with suspicion at those walk-in health centers. They treated me and my infection very well indeed and all for my usual office visit co-payment. I need to remember to cancel the appointment I have with my primary on Wednesday. Thanks fer nothing.
Let's see, what's been going on since my last post. I had a bit of a breakthrough in my riding lessons last week. I was so thrilled about this I was going to make it a big long post. Lucky for you all I thought better of it since I'm probably the only one who finds it even remotely interesting. Long story short, I can ride a posting trot with no hands. No holding the reins, no holding Seven's mane and no holding the saddle or breastplate. See, aren't you glad I didn't go on and on about it? Sure you are.
What else. Many of my satellite links were not working so I removed them until I can determine what the problem is. I'd been having problems access my server control panel and email. After two days bitching to support and wondering if I'd been hacked I was able to log on but still the link issues remain. I may end up moving to a new host.
In kitty news, Nikita (aka Bear, aka Roadkill) nearly electrocuted herself this morning. Apparently the incident occurred as she was playing with her favorite toy called a Cat Dancer which is nothing more than bits of cardboard on wire. She absolutely loves this thing and drags it all around the house with her. Seems as she was rolling around with it the wire came into contact with an empty outlet of a powerstrip. Jeff said he heard a sizzle, a pop and the sound a cat running away at top speed. When he investigated he found a shorted out power strip complete with burn mark at the empty outlet and the Cat Dancer wire now cleanly burnt into two pieces. Nikita is fine if somewhat mourning the loss of her favorite toy.
Feya's chin still looks like crap despite the doses of liquid antibiotics I've been giving her twice daily since Wednesday. She's been amazingly good about taking the stuff that for reasons I can't figure, is bright pink and smells like bubble gum. I'm thinking it's just baby medicine they use for cats as well.
That's about all going on. I'm still feeling a bit on the blue side. Having difficulty getting out of bed, or in my case right now, out of the house to take care of my errands. I'll blame the rain.
